The United States of America is our home.
A home that we want what's best for. A home that we want to be free, thriving, and flourishing.
Ultimately - that's what patriotism is. Wanting what's best for your country and doing your part to make it happen.
It's not having to always agree with the current administration or refusing to accept criticism of it when it does something wrong. No, at a baseline - we simply want what's best for the United States because we love our country and we love our children. We want the country to be the best version it can be, and there's no other country we would prefer to live in and put all our energy into protecting the life, liberty, and pursuit of happiness that it offers.
As Mark Twain famously put it, “Loyalty to country ALWAYS. Loyalty to government, when it deserves it."
On that note - we also want to be clear about what we believe is best. We believe a lot of the foundational values our country was built on needs to be respected, protected, and continually built upon. We want to clearly define and articulate the values that have made America great - and build walls around those values to better protect and preserve them.
Our team comes from a diverse background, from native-born citizens to people who are 1st and 2nd generation immigrants. All of us agree on one thing. We want to work hard to contribute to making the United States a better place than it currently is - and we want to do that by open discussion, critical thinking, and being very vocal about defending the values we find uniquely crucial to the United States.
We are proud to be called Americans, and we want to do what the prophet Jeremiah said long ago:
Seek the welfare of the city...and pray to the Lord on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.
Ultimately - we believe America is in a Do or Die moment, and we want to be the citizens who work hard to rebuild the walls, help create the welfare in our country that leads to its success, and sacrificially make it a priority to love our country. We refuse to be the people who enjoy the benefits our country offers both our lives and families lives while we stand on the sidelines and do nothing as it decays. The prophet Amos put it best when he said:
You drink wine by the bowlful and perfume yourselves with fragrant lotions. You care nothing about the ruin of your nation.
We're committed to helping rebuild, restore, and protect the walls that make America great, and we'll be releasing regular content to that end.
